Have to start off with 1st for fabrics - I have my eye on those new pastel sweatshirting!

And of course Fabrics Galore!

Online it's sewmesunshine - I really hope I can make an open day soon (it always seems to coincide when I'm working 😔)

I'm lucky to have Stitch Witch, a local fabric, yarn and haberdashery shop a mile from me in Lincolnshire. Lovely fabric selection including my fave Crafty Pie fabrics! www.stitchwitchshop.co.uk.

I like The Fabric Boutique In Ashby-de-La-Zouch for both online and in person shopping. I've just bought some caramel suedette, burgundy brushed cotton twill and viscose twill for an outfit.

Also bought and loving the Pippa Quilted fabric from The fabric boutique- making a gilet

I used Pound Fabrics lots but not bought anything from there in a while.

Thank you.  I finished it yesterday, lined with fleece.  It is really lovely fabric - and very warm.

Obviously I have to say 1st For Fabrics, as I work there! But other than that, I love Jenny Stitches, Rainbow Fabrics, Fabric Godmother, Sew Confident, Hey Sew Sister, Beyond the Pink Door, Sew Me Sunshine and Guthrie & Ghani. If I fancy a special treat, then Cloth Edit over in Australia is amazing and has some really special and unique fabrics.

Have you seen Dahlia Sewciety on You-tube.  Also in Australia she has some amazing fabrics and always has lots of pattern ideas.

In the last year I've used Knighton Fabrics, Pound Fabrics, AMO Threads and Rainbow Fabrics. Sadly I was one of those stuck in the Rainbow Fabrics backlog and am waiting on my delivery from December. This is my first shop with them so not hugely convinced but hoping the fabric is so amazing it doesn't matter when it finally arrives.

I do window shop a lot but I'm trying to take a leaf from Sam's book and #smashthestash 🫣

Ahh what a shame that it's your first experience with Rainbow Fabrics. I really hope your order arrives soon!

I try to buy fabric from stockists in my area to support 'local' as it were. My favourites are Lamazi Fabrics, Fabric Godmother, The Drapers Daughter and Clothkits

Quick plea - if you are posting about a bricks-and-mortar fabric shop, can you say where it is? I would love to visit & shop more in my area, but I don't know of many shops. I'm in Manchester BTW, so if anyone has any recommendations in the Manchester or Cheshire area (moving house to Nantwich soon), I'd love to hear them. Some of the online shops are really great, but with fabric I really want to feel and see it in the flesh before buying if I can!

Thanks so much! I actually grew up in Macclesfield (in the 70s) and now that I've read your post, I dimly remember my mum going to "the fent shop". I had absolutely no idea it was still there (it surely must be the same place). I will definitely be checking it out.

I love my local fabric shop 1st for fabrics. I also like to buy fabric from places I visit as a reminder. Was in York yesterday with my friends for a day out and visited Gillies Fabrics in the city centre. Lovely shop, lots of choice.

We don't have too many fabric shops near me, but my nearest is Koala Kreations - it's a lovely shop in a really pretty market town just north of Bristol.
Online I really like Sew Much Moor, SewSewSew, Fabric Godmother, 1st for Fabrics, Sew Me Sunshine and Guthrie and Ghani 🙂

I recently bought from the Fabric Boutique, Little Legs fabrics and Carolyn Rose School of Sewing & fabric shop. The latter is in Leamington Spa and was not on my radar at all but has some gorgoeous stuff and is where the lovely 'sew let's sparkle with sam' works.

Quilt Patch Fabrics in Stallings, NC is my go-to! I took a quilting 101 class there and I'm excited to make some quilts for my parents!
