Pattern suggestions for Autumn/Winter

Hi everyone!

I don't know about you but when it comes to this time of year, I really just want to hibernate and I tend to stick to a very boring "uniform" of jeans and a jumper/long sleeved top.
I wondered if anyone has any great suggestions of patterns they love for this time of year to put together a stylish but still cozy wardrobe?
Thanks in advance!

Gemma :)

Oh I am right there with you! Every year I say I'm not going to get stuck wearing jeans and jumpers but they are just so easy and warm at this time of year!

I'm a big fan of fleece lined leggings with dresses and chunky cardis - but I'd like to find some sweater dress patterns that have a waist seam for a bit of definition there.

Yeh that's a good idea - I think the Marlo cardigan would be a good one for over dresses.
As for a jumper dress with waist definition, I'm not sure!! Please let us know if you find one Hayley 😊

The holly dress/jumper by sew over it has waist definition and fairly quick make. I try to avoid jeans because they make you feel colder unless you got thermals under them x

I agree with Hayley - I love dresses and a Marlo cardi. The Marlo is great with a pinafore dress or a skirt too. I prefer the longer length Marlo as it's extra snuggly!

Have you checked out the Grafton dress from Cahsmerette? It's an amazing pattern with about 400 different possibilities depending how you mix and match. Suitable for jersey fabrics - the thickest I think you could go would be a ponte roma but you could definitely make this pretty cosy with the long sleeve bodice with turtle neck and one of the skirt options!

Hi Gemma, I'm just making a quilted Ruby Vest by Syd Graham. It's reversible with red one side and b/w gingham the other and hoping to make Lane Pants in corduroy to match

Did you choose any Gemma?

I've just finished the cropped Marlo in a white cable knit... It's so snuggly but need to figure out the best way to style it for my body

That sounds lovely Hayley!
I actually have so little time to sew right now with the podcast etc - I did cut out a Tilly and the buttons Marnie blouse as thought this would be nice for Christmas. Whether I get it made is another thing 🙈😂
