Im struggling a bit with setup, think theres a projector chat on here I could join? Im planning on making the pleated harem pants and matching top from Cut One On The Fold. I got a Dalston Mill bargain fabric bundle with some nice drapey viscose that will work a treat 😊

I received a bright pink Tula Pink Oliso iron. I've wanted one for ages and my kids clubbed together and treated me to it for Christmas.

I'm beyond excited and have been playing with it today. It's lovely. I feel very spoilt.

Aw lovely - the only people in the world excited to unwrap an iron!! How does it differ from your previous iron?

It's a lovely weight. Doesn't switch off. The whole iron raises itself automatically off the surface, hovering, ready to be used instantly remaining hot. It's very unique.

Tula Pink is an amazing fabric designer and this iron reflects her quirky and very vibrant style. She uses animals in her fabrics and 'fish' is just her one of many.

Who would have thought an iron would make me so happy 😵‍💫😘!

I am amazed by this! I really want to try one, and wonder where I can see it (so it could go on the birthday list!)

Tula Pink's uses a lot of animal in her fabrics. It's just her quirky style. I love it!

I treated myself to fabric incl. two surprise boxes. I gifted my three daughters a me-made coat each, all three a joy to sew.

From left to right: the Arbre Coat by Fabric Godmother; the Homebody quilted jacket by Matchy Matchy; the Ormond Coat by In the Folds.

Amazing, do you have a favourite at all? Or one that was more enjoyable to sew?

The Matchy Matchy Homebody was the least involved make. The Button holes on the Ormond were stressful so I made them on my embroidery machine. But they are all straightforward makes and I enjoyed them all equally.

I was very lucky and received lots of fabric, including the Fabric Godmother Ace denim that I've had my eye on for aaaages. I love it so much - I've made a TATB Ness skirt in it already!

I had some other fabrics too that I've got plans for and hope to have sewn up over the next couple of months 😃

I got a few sewing gifts

There were a few that i had added to a list of ideas for hubby/kids to buy from - I had a simplicity bias machine, some pins, some pattern weights

My husband also got me a lovely seam ripper that was engraved with my name - that was unexpected.

I had the silicone hem thingys from Jenerates. Like them so far. Some machine needles and money to buy patterns - I bought 4 from Sinclair as they had a bogof offer. The crew sweatshirt has already been made (that's what I finished on Thursday's social).
