New To This!

Hi everyone, never done anything like this before so I don’t really know what I’m doing! But here goes.

I am 70+yrs old, sewn all my life, just everyday sewing.

Have just finished 2 le hoodie sweatshirt without hood plus 2 Freyr tops.

Have tried the Drew but somehow fitting seems to be all wrong on me.

My task this year is to make comfortable good fitting trousers.

How am I doing? Is this right?

Hello, we're in the same age bracket!

However, I don't know any of the patterns you mention - can I suggest that you add a link, or the maker? Maybe some others know them.

If you care to post a picture of you in the badly fitting garment, people can offer ideas about altering it. However, my own experience is that sometimes things are just all wrong and you have to abandon them! I always make a toile in calico or old sheets so I can mark alterations.

Good luck with the trousers, and keep us posted.

Yes! This is great! Lovely to meet you Janet!

Is this the hoodie pattern? https://www.atelierbrunette.com/products/le-hoodie-patron-pdf?srsltid=AfmBOooyfNZSbc0Dd6dYGLlityjhtWVW45vgLPDFDd4-iBltN-e5Dr15

Not sure on the Freyr tops though?

I'm not a fan of the shape of the Drew personally - lots of people love it! But it's just doesn't look right on me at all!
