“Multitasking” When Sewing…

Does anyone else watch TV/film or listen to something while sewing?

Usually I will listen to an audiobook or podcast.

Yesterday, I had a day of sewing and watched the Winter Olympics (the only time I actually watch sport! 🤪)

I wondered what people like to watch or listen to (or even sew in silence)?

Here’s a couple of work in progress photos. I’m making a Sew Over It Ava skirt.

I used to listen to music or the radio. However, I now find that I really need all my concentration on sewing, so mostly in silence. I might put something on if I have a bit of hand sewing, or something very basic, but am worried about mking mistakes. And that is why I no longer know what is happening in Ambridge!

Love this question Mel - I like listening to audio books or podcasts but have to use headphones to hear over the sound of the sewing machine. I do have to pause it if I need to concentrate on reading certain instructions though!

Sometimes I'll put YouTube on, on a series that Andy isn't interested in watching but I get easily distracted!!
