For Fun - What Kind Of Stitcher Are You?

The Perfectionist - Measuring fabric 10 times, tailor’s chalk in hand, adjusting seams by 1mm.
"If it’s not perfect, it’s NOT happening"

The Chaos Queen - Pattern pieces everywhere, tangled threads, cutting fabric on the floor.
"The floor is my cutting table, and I will NOT be changing that."

The Slow & Steady - Taking months to finish one project, carefully pinning everything with monk-like patience.
"Quality takes time… like a LOT of time."

The Speed Demon - Sewing at top speed, instructions? Never heard of them.
"Pins? Nope. Just vibes."

I think I am probably a mixture of all 4, though maybe only a tiny bit of a 'Perfectionist'. I start off wanting it perfect but it never ends up that way, there's always something not quite right.  I do seem to do better on a more advanced make which takes more time but sometimes you just want something done!

Judging by my WIP pile I'm going to say I'm a "slow and steady" although perhaps more due to procrastination and lack of time!

I think I'd like to be a perfectionist but chaos queen is probably the reality, when I look around my room!

I think between slow and steady and perfection.  My room has to be organized and clean before any project . My goal this year is to do one project of my patterns and stash each month , started this in March .

A mixture of those! I start off with good intentions but not a perfectionist. Sew at a steady speed but then when I get tired or impatient to finish chaos reigns! Corners are cut 🤣 and finishing is not always as precise as it could be.

Saying that perfectly wearable garments are made that are much admired!

Definitely the chaos queen...always cut my fabric on the floor...but it's organised chaos as I know where my pattern pieces are amongst the chaos 😄

I'm a perfectionist. I drive myself mad as I just can't let it be! If anything is not right I'll unpick, redraft, resew. I'm always amazed at sewists who run things up in an hour.

I'm very messy... Organised chaos. Though I have to tidy up my sewing room after each project as it clears my mind for the next masterpiece!!! 😆

Excellent idea for a topic. Also - I... don't really know. I haven't gotten far into garment making (except for my accessible jeans trial run), but I think I'd have to say I am whatever combination gives me the strongest seams reasonable for the project, is as least taxing as possible in terms of energy and physical manipulation of large pieces of fabric, and lets me leave everything at a moments notice for days on end if I need to and then come back to it mid stride without any fuss. I don't know how to use patterns, but the intuitive construction of accessories and whatnots is very comfortable for me - as long as it doesn't come out looking like garbage or not functioning as intended.
