Hi I'm Gram Deb, I have 11 grandchildren. I've been sewing for over 50 years, but mostly the past 35 years. I learned from my Mom, grandma and school. I'm from Michigan, USA. I spend my winters in Tennessee. With my husband Mike. I loves sewing all things....quilts, clothes, bags, even paper crafts. We own a small antique shop only open in the summer. Can't wait to chat with you all. Thank you Hayley.
Hello

Hi Gram Deb! Wow!!! 11 grandchildren that's amazing, sounds like you're pretty busy. I love the sound of your antique shop as well! What are you working on at the moment?
Hi Hayley. You do such a great job! Thank you for replying. Right now I'm getting ready to make a dress for my great-niece soon turning 5. I also recently sewed a few zipper pouches to sell at our shop (My Mom and I have a section of handmade items in the antique shop.) We are only open in the late spring to fall, so I get to make things all winter and I have recently taken up junk Journaling. My husband and I also have a large garden of raised beds for vegetables. Tomorrow it is my turn to host my mini quilt group and a couple extra guests because we are revealing our Spring challenge of a "dwelling place" that we each have created. This is getting too long to explain all that, but I am excited to see my wonderful friends again and have a nice meal and lots of laughs. I'm expecting 10 ladies.❤️

This sounds so lovely!! I'm part of a book group with about 18 other amazing ladies from my daughters school and although we do talk about the book a bit it's such a wonderful evening with friends! I hope you have a lovely time.
That's awesome. I'm in a book club too, but can only attend in person in the winter when I'm in Tennessee. We have about 10 members and have lots of laughs. It is about 10 hours south of where we spend our summers in Michigan, USA. Do you have any recent book recommendations? Our most recent was "These Tangled Threads." It is about weavers at the Biltmore Village in North Carolina, The Biltmore was built by George Washington Vanderbilt in the late 1800s, his wife was Edith and daughter Cornelia. I loved it.

Ooh that sounds interesting, I'll have to check it out. We've just read All The Colours of the Dark - unfortuantely it wasn't for me and I gave up half way but I seemed to be the only one who felt that way!! We are now reading Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine which I read about 7 years ago and loved.
I've also recently enhoyed The Nightingale and The Great Alone both by Kristin Hannah and the first book in the Seven Sisters series
Thank you so much for the book information. I've finally started the dress for my great niece today. It's chilly and rainy. The get-together with my sewing group was great last night and lasted almost 4 hours!😃
Hayley Jane, I forgot to add that I love Kristin Hannah. Our group read The Women, which was fantastic!

That's next on my list, I just bought it for my mum for her birthday... hoping I'll get to borrow it after she's read it! This is something we do - buy each other books that we both wnat to read!
Awwhh. My mom and I do that too.❤️
