Time JC

Hi all!
I love my subscription box...but I just need more spare time in my life to make all the things my brain dreams up!!

I have two projects for other people that MUST be finished for March 2025 😬

Does anyone else have the same problem? Am I prioritising the wrong things, ie. work, housework, family...? 😉😉😉

Oh my goodness I am with you! Most of the things I sew are part of work... as soon as I'm home it's all about dinner, bath time, bedtime and then I'm too tired to do anything more than sit on the sofa!

Are you able to leave your sewing machine set up so you can sew a little bit here and there?

Hi Hayley! I definitely know that feeling! But on Monday 23rd I realised that I needed a present for a family friend so I threw together a makeup/toilet bag out of some beach hut Liberty print that I had lying around! Job done!

And yes, you're quite right about the leaving-the-sewing-machine-out tip; I can't really leave it out but I do leave the power cable plugged in (and pedal) ready but tucked away. I don't have a dedicated sewing area so all of my sewing kit/stash/gadgets are hidden in various cupboards and I have to do a fair bit of searching before I can start 😩But now is the time for new resolutions 🎉!!

Oh no! Perhaps your first resolution could be to create a dedicated cupboard for your sewing things?

Jaicee,

there is never enough time to make everything on my plans list.

I have two part time jobs and look after my granddaughter 3 days a week, so time and energy get depleted quickly.

A big lottery win and retirement are needed in my life so I can just sew.

I can definitely relate to that, Kelly...but without the granddaughter! I hope you've been able to have some "Me Sewing Time" over Christmas! Let's hope we can both fit more sewing in during 2025, LOL! 😃

I hear you 👋 I've promised my daughter a few makes to go in her suitcase for her trip to New Zealand in February.  My problem is I've got a head bursting with exciting ideas and fingers itching to stitch all the time! But real life kicks in..housework. work etc..  I'd better get cracking on those summery dresses, the housework might just have to wait ✋️
