Bettine dress

This is my first dress and I made the Tilly and the Buttons Bettine dress in a jersey fabric instead of woven. I really like how it came out, but should I have shortened the bodice? I feel like it curves out on skirt a bit too low down, instead of on my hips. Although I like the length of it. I also turned the waistband up rather than down, so that the fabric didn't flop on top of it like in the pattern - I don't know if that made a difference.

This looks so good Debbie! The thing about waistbands is you can move them up or down depending on the look you're going for. If you want the waistband to fall at your natural waist (usually the narrowest part of your torso) then you can shorten the bodice pattern piece and then lengthen the skirt if you want to keep the same length.

But I love this, it looks fab and making it in jersey is a genius move, so comfy!
