I just wanted to say a big thank you to whoever it was that recommended the Style Arc Clare pants to me on one of the TSG socials a couple of months ago. I'm so sorry, I can't remember who it was.
I had been on a quest to find some flat-fronted, elasticated back trousers for my summer wardrobe. I'd seen the Clare pants but been but off because:
1) I could see hardly any versions on Instagram and the SA pics are a little uninspiring
2) I thought the belt was fixed in place and I wasn't sure if this would suit me
3) The reputation about Stylearc patterns - I''m a relative beginner and not made one before.
I bit the bullet after hearing from the lovely TSG member that the belt was fully detachable and the instructions were pretty easy.
I'm so glad I did. I have now made 3 pairs! I don't have any pictures of them as they seem to be forever in the washing machine due to constant rotation. The latest pair is actually for my sister to wear to an event, made from a Cotton Lawn I nabbed on Vinted for a very very cheap price. I later discovered it was a Lady McElroy design
which had been badly listed. I couldn't resist a sneaky try on before sending them off to their forever home. I hope she likes them but I'm happy to rehome them if she doesn't!
