Padded gilet

I made this gilet based on Burda 6337. It's bodged together as I bought the wrong length zip and had to fudge it to make it fit. I also lined and padded the gilet and turned it through instead of using bias binding on the edges.

The turquoise baby cord was bought from a stall at a medieval festival (Bernie the Bolt if any one else is old enough to laugh at the reference!!) and was only 36" wide but the lining is from Rainbow fabrics and was one of their extra wide fabrics.

Apologies for my grim face - I was having issues with the phone not taking photos and was glaring at it!!
