I am so excited about this skirt pattern. I have literally had the webpage for this pattern open in my browser for the last month and now I am getting off the dime. Now on to thinking about the length and fabric options - but in my minds eye I see a beautiful satin ribbon for the waist tie.

Oh very tempting, I've drafted similar patterns from scratch in the past and love the style but these days I'm limited on time and have changed shape so much that getting a pre-made pattern sounds like a plan. Time to stash dive and find the fabric I think i want to use.

This is the fabric I'm planning to use. It's a viscose-linen blend from Pound Fabrics. Next step is cutting the pattern pieces!

I just had a quick look on the website and it's 55% linen and 45% viscose. As it's only 170 gsm I guess it will be a Summer skirt.
As an added bonus it was/is also on sale :)
