As we are approaching the end of the month share your finished Sylvie skirts here!

Share your Sylvie Skirt

My third Sylvie skirt made for the magazine, in the Rowan gingham seersucker from Fabric Godmother. I think I must have cut the elastic a little too short on this one in my haste as it's a little too snug around the waist.

Your skirt is lovely :)
Here's mine made using a linen viscose blend.. I'm camera shy so it's on the mannequin! It does fit me nicely though.
I'm quite tall so had to adjust by adding 3 inches to the length. I decided not to pattern match as it would use a whole load of fabric. Fortunately, I like the randomness of a slight mismatch anyway. :)

This looks so beautiful and summery!! The pattern matching isn't noticeable on this print at all, it looks great!

I love it! Great fabric

Bummed that I won't be able to attend

the Pattern Club event on Tuesday, but I have finished my mini version of the Sylvie Skirt - as always, with help from my sewing assistant. Not modeling this in person because it turned shorter than I would like and I will be adding some length to the panels - but I love it. Made this from a duvet cover I have had for 12+ years. Next project will be a Sew House Seven Regalia Blouse in the same fabric to wear as a set.

I love this!!! So gorgeous!

Ooooh that's super cute! I love it

Your skirt turned out very pretty. Love your assistant!

Just finishing the hem, then a good press! Remind me why I thought hand sewing the hem was a good idea 🤔

Oh no Lesley!! That's a lot of hem to hand stitch

Took my time, and it's all done now! Hopefully will get a picture to post here tomorrow!

I'm sharing my make so far, still waiting on an invisible zipper foot to arrive 😞
I made the short version in this fabric from a SHJ box last year. I'm picturing wearing this skirt on holiday with vest top and flip flops! Added pockets but didn't bother with ties.
Slightly scared about stitching my first invisible zip or any zip into a garment for the first time but will use the tutorial videos. I definitely found the pocket video helpful as I got a bit lost with the instructions.

This looks so good, what a great fabric choice too! Thank you so much for the feedback I'm really pleased the video tutorial was helpful and I hope the zip one is too!

Stunning!! Wishing I'd cut the mini version now. Will definitely have to make a mini version next

That turned out so very cute! I like your idea of how you will style it!

This looks so beautiful Lesley!
Is that the linen look visose from the boxes? I used that fabric but have done the mini version. Unfortunately I haven't managed to finish but will hopefully be done by the end of the week. x

It looks amazing Lesley! Can't believe you handstitched the hem - that must have taken a lot of patience!

Very pretty. I love the color!

The fabric choice was bad on my part - very slippery and so all the pieces weren't cut out well. But it came together in the end!

It looks gorgeous Han!! Shame the fabric was slippery as it's really pretty

Beautiful fabric - a very brave choice though! Well done you

The colors are very pretty. It looks great.

Better late than never. Finally finished my Sylvie skirt.

This is gorgeous Jenny!!! So twirly!

Here's my Sylvie Skirt made in a lightweight cotton viscose. Only my second invisible zip. Really pleased with this.

This looks beautiful Michelle!!
