I've managed to get hold of some more of the groovy waves viscose from the shj box on Vinted (possibly from someone on here lol), so got enough for a dress now.

Thanks for organising this Hayley. I have liked the look of the Nicks dress for a long time but boy does it take a lot of fabric! I don't have anything in my stash that big so I may have to wait until my bank balace is looking a little healthier. The other possibilitity is to remove the bottom tier from the dress, which is possibly more wearable for me anyway.

I have booked my spot for the pattern party regardless. November is a busy month for me and it's already slipping away. This pattern might have to wait for a longer slot in my sewing room.

So pleased you like the look of it Laura! Yes it is a bit fabric hungry, however....

Like you said you can leave off the bottom tier which finishes just above the knee (I tried this but I prefer slightly below the knee)

Or if you want to add the bottom tier - the pattern says to cut out 4 of the bottom tier pieces BUT lots of people (me included) actually only cut two but made them the entire width of the fabric instead. So that is an option and removes about 80cm of fabric.

So a few options there!

Thanks Hayley. I've got to be honest, I haven't got anything longer than 3.3m in my fabric collection so I might struggle with any stashbusting on this! However, that's really good to know. X

With it having tiers it would lend itself to using different  fabrics, if you have any in your stash that would go together, or you might even be able to squeeze one out of a double duvet. You can sometimes get some good bargains on Vinted and EBay too xx
