Hello all.
I would like to try the French seems suggested on the skirt of the Poppy.
As an overlocked obsessed sewist this will be new to me so apologies if this is a silly query.
Once the seam is finished does one top stitch the seam to one side or the other?
And if one does one top stitch would one use one row of stitching or two?
Any guidance is appreciated.

Hi Melissa, there are no silly questions!
You wouldn't normally topstitch a French seam. I have included videos on how to French seam in the Poppy tutorials.
Once you've finished the seam all you need to do is press it to one side and that's it
