Can you believe it’s been a whole year of Pattern Club inside ThreadySetGo?
When I first introduced it, I imagined it like a book club for sewing - a featured pattern each month, with a live get-together to share and chat about our makes.
As always, things evolved. And after a year, it feels like the perfect moment to reflect on what’s working beautifully - and what could work even better.
One absolute highlight has been our live event at the end of each month. Hearing from inspiring guests across the sewing community has been such a joy, and that part isn’t going anywhere.
What I’ve realised, though, is that the single-pattern focus hasn’t quite come across in the way I hoped. Some members have understandably felt that they needed to sew the featured pattern in order to join in - and that was never the intention. You absolutely didn’t need to sew anything specific to belong there.
So, I’m excited to introduce something new that will be replacing the Pattern Club: Community Spotlight.
Instead of centering the month around one pattern, the spotlight will be on the community first and foremost, your favourite patterns, fabrics, notions, and creative inspiration.
As part of highlighting the community at the heart of it. Each month I will include:
Community Makes section, where I will roundup some of the photos you have shared in the forum of what you have been up to.
Member Profile - a mini interview with one of our wonderful members (a little call back to the SewHayleyJane magazine days!)
Guest Features - a mini profile on each of the guests that will be joining me in the live event at the end of the month.
Sewing Spotlight where I will share some of my favourite patterns, fabrics and notions for the month
The Community Spotlight page which will replace the Pattern Club page will read like a mini zine each month giving you lots of sewing inspiration from our wonderful community and time to get excited about the up coming live event
I’m taking March to reset and get everything ready, and the new Community Spotlight will officially launch in April! So make sure to share your projects to be featured in the new section.
