Tilly And The Buttons Samara Top - Fabrics

Just been to 1st for fabrics to get this gorgeous viscose for my samara top. Forgot to take a pic before I overlocked and washed it! 

I've got my first one cut out in a floral cotton lawn ( I think). I bought it from the charity shop so I'm not completely certain! 
I have plans for a few more too, do you think it would work in double gauze? 

I have made one using some cheap viscose. I have narrow shoulders and a short neck to bust height. So I made the neck line in a smaller size and graded out but it still was indecent. Luckily I had some of the same type fabric but in a cream (made in a pale blue) so I added a piece in the V to make it look like I have a cami underneath it. I have now adapted the pattern to make the V much shorter for the neck, plus I had to change the back neck pattern to accommodate it and the length of the facing. But hopefully a good fix. Here goes the next one 🤞 x

I'm using a lovely cotton from my SHJ stash.  I definitely want a hip length top rather than cropped just not sure on whether to go for bracelet straight sleeves or the elastic ones?
