Good afternoon everyone, I have just been to the fabric and sewing for pleasure show at the NEC and picked up 2 beautiful fabrics for my husband to make a couple of shirts, as I have only sewn for myself and sewing is pretty new to me I wondered if anyone had any suggestions for a shirt pattern? Thanks Lindsey x

Hi Lindsey I've made the Simplicity 1544 shirt several times for my other half in various fabrics, cotton, denim, brushed cotton. I've also used the Wardrobe by me Jensen shirt.

I've recently purchased the Tony shirt by Emporia patterns, which looks great!

Thank you so much for your suggestions ladies, I have just purchased the Tony shirt and it appealed to me as the images of it were short sleeved and it said confident beginner. I have made a note of the other 2 patterns for future ventures. That said my husband did say get enough fabric for a balaclava just in case it went wrong!!! Xxx
