There's been lots of gorgeous patterns released so far this year, is there one that has really stood out to you?

What has been your stand out pattern of the year so far?

For me, the Friday Pattern Company Donny Shirt. I wasn't drawn to this pattern at all, but was intrigued by the popularity of it. I had just over a metre of fabric I wasn't sure what to do with and looked ideal for this pattern. I really enjoyed the whole process of making this, fits great and the fabric turned out to be the perfect choice. Now I understand why it's so popular and I have 2 more lined up now.

Ah I love that! I have to admit it isn't one I've been drawn to myself, but I do love all the versions I've seen on other people
The Quinn Vest/Dress bij True Bias looks beautiful. Would love to make that this year.

Oh that's lovely!! Have you got a fabric in mind?
Probably a linen from Merchant & Mills. Don't know which colour yet 😏
O, and I would love to make The Revel Topper from Sew House Seven! Looks so stylish and comfortable at the same time. I love the collar on this one. Would make this in a drapey viscose with the wide sleeves.

The Ember Dress by Sew Liberated. I love their aesthetic and philosophy. I bought the pattern yesterday and shall be making it up soon.

Oooh that's really pretty! What fabric will you use?

Probably a cotton or viscose (blend?) print. I also bought one of their older patterns, the Hinterland dress. It is probably more everyday than the Ember. I'll be making up both of them and hopefully show you in the "Makes" forum.

Sounds great, can't wait to see!
