Men’s Trousers

Hi all,

Can anyone recommend an easy pattern for men’s trousers? My husband struggles with the fit of off-the-peg trousers so I have volunteered to make him some 🤦🏼‍♀️

All help gratefully received.

Many thanks, Karen

Hi Karen

I’ve made the Wardrobe by me men’s Chino pants for my partner, a couple of times. They have a narrow leg which is what he likes. The trousers have a zip fly, front pockets and back welt pockets, the instructions for which are pretty good, and there are several YouTube video tutorials.

Thanks Lesley,

What level of experience do you think would be required for the pattern? Do you think a beginner to mid-level of experience would be enough?

Thanks, Karen

I would say mid-level experience. The trickiest parts are the fly and the welt pockets but the instructions and video tutorials are good. You could miss off the back pockets. If you’ve never done either before, it’s worth doing a practice on similar fabric to your finished item, to get used to the techniques and thicknesses of fabric.
