I have recently started to use my rotary cutter to cut out pattern peices and needed better/heavier pattern weights (I had been using small bags of rice).

I had seen others using large metal washers as pattern weights, so I had a trip to B&Q - it was cheaper to buy a pack of 50 washers, rather than buying 4 packs of 5.

To make the weights a bit heavier I have used double sided tape to stick 2 washers together.

But I did not like the way they looked - they are not very pleasing to the eye... so out came the crochet hook and left over yarn and I now have 10 beautiful colourful patern weights.
