Using a textured sweater knit from Beyond the Pink Door. The selvedge edge was 'fluffy' so I incorporated that into the cowl neck band and cuffs. The fabric is very cosy without being bulky. I was so taken with the fabric when I saw it on Andrea's Sunday night 'live' I just bought it. I confess I probably would have avoided it if I had noticed the polyester content - BUT I am very glad I didn't, as I am delighted with the resulting garment.
Eco issues and sustainability are important to me but I reflect on the fact that I still wear 30 year old fleeces, so I think durability must go some way to offsetting the downsides of man made fibres......
