What do you do when a project isn't going your way?

If a project you are working on isn't working out the way you hoped what do you do?

Do you plough on to the end and hope you like the finished garment?

Do you put it away and come back to it later?

Do you try and change it into something else?

Or do you scrap it completely and move on?

I have left it for awhile and come back but also repurposed one into a different garment.

My corduroy Sanda jacket (Merchant & Mills) has been waiting for buttons to be sewn on since April. The fabric is too thick for my machine to cope with the buttonholes - it just doesn't want to know. One day I'll get round to doing it the old-fashioned way and sew it by hand. Unless anyone has any other ideas?

Why not use snaps with buttons on the top ?

I scrap it and hope it makes itself by the time I come back to it.

Haha!!! It's like when I open my wardrobe hoping that the perfect garment I haven't made yet is miraculously waiting for me!

I'll put it away and come back to it later, I try to set myself a time limit so that it won't stay in the 'naughty corner' forever
