Are you planning to go to The Stitch Festival in London on 20th-23rd March? Which stands are you making a bee-line for? Are you joining any of the workshops?

I'm going on the Saturday and I'm really looking forward to it! It's my first ever sewing show and I'm going alone so if anyone else is going along let me know and maybe we can meet for a coffee or something, will be nice to meet some new friends :)

I'm hoping to find a janome stand to see if they have the sewing machine I've got my eye on to try out, also going to do some saving to make sure I've got money to spend guilt free on myself!

I'll definitely pay a visit to the sew over it stand as they are the pattern company I've used most, and the one that got me back into sewing in recent years so I want to go and say hi to them and see what goodies they have there.

Dee and I are going up on the Friday and we are staying in an airbnb until Sunday!

We have VIP tickets for the Saturday.

I will be making a beeline for:

Fabric Godmother

Lady Mckelroy

Tilly and the Buttons

Sew Over it

Seasons of East

Little Rosie Cheeks

Specky seamstress

Seasons of East.

and so many more, but if it's anything like last year it will mostly be about socialising with the sewing folk that are there. Such a joy! 🤩

I haven't booked but I'd really like to go. I've never been to anything like it before and would be going alone. Tempted to go on the Saturday so the train up won't be so busy. Is it worth going if not doing workshops?

Absolutely!! I've been 4 years and haven't ever booked onto the workshops, coming from Southampton it's about a 2 hour journey to the venue so I've only really got time to wonder round - although I do end up chatting a lot too! I'm considering booking somewhere to stay for a couple of night so I've got more time.

I always go with my mum which is lovely, although maybe next year I'll be there as a vendor!!

Thanks Hayley. I'd be coming from Andover so that's probably about the same after getting up to Angel.

I'm hoping to go on Thursday this year.

I'm pleased that Guthrie and Ghani are returning this year and Friday Pattern Company have said they will be there too.

it's so nice going round all the stands and I always come away with more fabric than intended! 😁

I'm going on Sunday on a coach trip. Takes the away the hassle of navigating the journey.

Looking forward to seeing Guthrie & Ghani, Tilly & the Buttons, Sew Over It, Specky Seamstress and many more.

I'm going on the Sunday but will be travelling up on the Saturday from the Isle of Wight, staying in a Premier Hub Saturday and Sunday night, train and ferry home on the Monday. It's the first time I've done it this way as I usually stay with my Mum and get the train with friends from Kent.

Yes, I'm super excited to be going again with my gorgwous girls, Ruan & Rachel. We're staying Friday to Sunday and will be in the actual show on the Friday afternoon and all day Saturday. It's wonderful to catch up with friends, old and new, and we defintiely did a lot of chatting last year! In terms on vendors, I love the Indie Biz village and discovering some of the smaller businesses. As well as some faves like Pigeon Wishes, Sister Mintaka etc. Delighted Guthrie & Ghani will be there, as well as Friday Pattern Co and Podgekins!

Would be lovely to meet some friendly Thready Set Go faces, so do come and say hello

I really hope to go.  I missed it last year and have been looking forward to going for nearly a whole year now 😊  Think I might go on the Thursday.  So many stands that I would like to look at. I hope I have the energy!

Meeting a friend for lunch Friday and going after that. She's coming from Exeter for the weekend and I'm in Suffolk. Looking forward to a day out.

I absolutely love the show but sadly I don't think I'll make it this year 😭I'm sure it'll be fabulous ( think of the money I'll save 😉)

In addition to my VIP trip on Thursday, I've just found out that I'm lucky enough to be going again on Friday courtesy of a free ticket ☺️.
Just the small matter of 'paying my way ' by taking part in one of the catwalk shows 😱☺️

Oooh that's amazing - which company are you doing the catwalk show for?

Prima magazine.  It's a shirt dress, and the first of their patterns that I've ever made. Really good instructions, and fabric that I bought at the Stitch Festival last year.

I'm going on the Friday as a day out treat to myself! I'll be on my own so it would be lovely to meet up with anyone else for a coffee

So - did everyone enjoy the Stitch Festival? It was intense & exhausting but also INCREDIBLE!! Loved meeting sewing friends, old and new, as well as browsing the stands and making a few little purchases. Also LOVED doing the catwalk show. Super fun! Bring on the next event!

Loved it even more than last year! I did enjoy the catwalk despite my nerves, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Two days was great, hoping to stretch it to three next year 🤞

Enjoyed the show on Friday but it was exhausting, so tired by the time I left to catch my train home, richer for fabrics but poorer 😀
