WIP IT UP Pledge

"I Hayley pledge to finish one project plus work on another"
I will be finishing my Styla Patterns Abingdon dress that has been half sewn and then left to one side - I'm not even sure why I was really excited about it. I cut it out in November 2023 using the Like A Zebra viscose from Fabric Godmother that was in the Luxury Boxes.
I am then going to crack on with my Love You Sew patterns Spring Roll pouch that was cut out of fat quarter in Spring 2023 - they were in the Meet Me In Paris box!

I, Nick, pledge to start, and finish lol, the Franconia dress I cut out ages ago.

Amazing, that dress looks lovely I hadn't seen it before

I, Lucy, pledge to finish the Heather blazer.
I started this project as part of the Sew Confident CCC course but I really hate the linen fabric they supplied. It's really stretchy which I wasn't expecting for a linen. But I'm more experienced now so hopefully i can pick it back up again 💪

"I Hayley pledge to finish my Saskia cardigan and Tina skirt project. I also pledge to attempt to finish my laptop bag - it's a bit of a fight under my machine as it's getting really bulky now. Fingers crossed 🤞

Except I am obviously Nikki and not Hayley lol 😂

Oooh great one, I really want to make the Heather Blazer!

Hehe, great pledge Hayley!! Have you got a thicker/denim needle for the laptop bag?

I'm just using a normal needle - it's been fine until attaching the front to the gusset - just tricky with bulk and corners etc
just got the back to add now - so nearly there 🤞

I, Vicki, pledge to work on my Thea trousers and get further than just tracing out the pattern!
I've picked up the pattern and fabric so many times to work on it and then put it down again out of fear, but I'm going to take the plunge. I'm (foolishly?) not going to toile.....
I'm going straight for what will hopefully be a wearable toile, but before I cut out the fabric will compare the curve of the front and back pieces to the Flint trousers which I know fit me well!

This is a great pledge Vicki, and a really good idea to compare the curves to a pattern you know fits well

I, Lesley, pledge to finish my Taylor trousers by Blackbird fabrics.
I promised myself I would hand stitch the hems, but because of this I've just put them to one side, but they deserve an invisible hem.

The Tina skirt has ended up in "file 13" - really didn't suit me - having sewing nightmares and so abandoned in favour of other projects.

"I Tamlyn pledge to finish one project plus potentially a second if time allows!"
I will FINALLY finish my Closet Core Jenna Shirt - which means to make bias binding with my scraps, bind the hem, then do button holes and sew up the buttons (Which could be a ncie activity for the WIP and Sip evening!
I also have a matching Bestie Bag in progress, so it would be a bonus if I finished that too, or at least make a bit more progress on it
I have a drew sweatshirt that I started. Then decided I did not like the colour ribbing I was going to use, kept forgetting to add ribbing to an order. Ordered it last week to finish for the challenge this week. It is due tomorrow. I also have a pair of joggers cut but waiting for said ribbing before I sew it up. Plus I need to cut the fabric for my first bestie bag. Pattern was printed and cut ready two weeks ago.
I will start & hopefully finish my white Petina blouse that's been in its project bag too long. If time allows & my sciatica isn't too bad I've a skirt that needs stitching up too.

I Debbie pledge to finish my Pinny lady project and if I get time I'd like to make the TATB Cleo that has been cut out but not started yet.

I Sarah pledge to finish my Marnie dress that I started 2 weeks ago.
