WIP It Up

My WIP is my Thea trousers. I did cheat a bit and do some work on them yesterday before the official start of the challenge as I know I've got a busy week so sewing time might be limited!
I bought this pattern when it first came out, bought the fabric and the notions, chose the size and then got scared and put it away! I've got it out so many times since, intending to make it, but each time I've put it off, so I'm counting it as a WIP as it's been sitting there ready to go!

WIP 1. This is my Sew Over It Lillian blouse made in a liberty tana lawn. It just needs button holes and buttons. It's been waiting for them around 8 months
I had three in total. Two are clothing items. I had a drew sewn up but did not have black cuffing and I kept forgetting to add it to my orders. I have a black pair of joggers waiting to be made out of the same black material, again waiting for the ribbing to do it! The third was cut and partially sewn and then sat there for a month to finish. Storage for fat quarters. I forgot to take the before photo. I finished it today.

That's amazing Sandra, one ticked off the list already!

I did the button holes last night, but then decided that I didn't like the sleeve hem and I could do better, so undid the hems, so that needs re-doing now.

Haha... well at least the button holes are done!

My poor WIP is going very slowly! It's been pushed aside because my kids asked for World Book Day costumes.

Oh no!! Well, any progress is progress right?!

My mid-week progress! Had some time yesterday to work on my Styla Abingdon dress - somehow one side of the front facing was too big, it had been interfaced when I origially started working on it 1.5 years ago so I don't think it stretched. But I unpicked the shoulder seam on the facing and reduced the lenght to make it fit.
In tonights Wip & Sip social I'll be attaching the sleeves and skirt (that's the plan anyway)

Both of mine are pride of place on my 'procrastinating mannequin' awaiting buttons and buttonholes...I'm so not confident at getting them right, so I often have at least one WIP on there.

No progress on my Thea trousers yesterday as life got in the way! I've got as far as hemming (and they fit, yay! 🥳) but I now need to try them on properly and measure the length as a good few inches need to come off!

I'm done! WIP completed. Hand sewing the hem of my BF Taylor trousers, what a great trouser pattern. Couldn't resist showing the inside.
I've also just finished this style arc Monty shirt, which I added a bit to the length. Thank you Val for showing this pattern on one of the sewing socials.
Thanks Hayley for setting up the WIP it up week. A great idea. Sorry I can't be there tonight as I'm out for a friend's biryhday but I'll be wearing this outfit!
Hope everyone has a great night

Val these looks great! The insides of your trousers are beautiful too!

It's looking great so far!! Good luck with your buttonholes Helen
