Great British Sewing Bee - Episode 3

I'm really looking forward to this weeks episode - all about design icons! I think I spotted the Diane Von Furstenberg wrap dress in the preview which I'm anticipating will be the Pattern Challenge!

Do you have a favourite design icon?

I love 1950s fashion so probably Christian Dior around that time but I don't know many of the 'movie designers' of that time either - think Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn,

Oooh yes, did you watch The New Look on Apple tv? it was all about Dior and Channel and how they navigated the war.

I haven't. I've not got Apple TV but I will see if I can get it elsewhere.

I've just bought Diane bon Furstenberg's wrap dress and very keen to give it a go. The Sewing Bees have inspired me.

Ooh exciting!! Hope we get to see it when it's made up, have you got the fabric?

I was watching Sparkle with Sam's vlog on episode 3 of the sewing bee and realised I had the V2000 wrap dress pattern she mentioned. I've only literally just bought it and I feel I really want to make it.

I need to check my stash to see if I have the right fabric/length etc.

When made up, I'll do the reveal on my YT channel - Stash Stitcher.

One of the first wrap dresses I made, the design very much inspired by the Diane Von Furstenberg dress...
