I have a plain black cotton jersey t-shirt I made a few months ago but I'm not very happy with how it turned out. I was going to unpick it and turn it into a Sew Over It Lucy t-shirt for the Pattern Club this month but I couldn't make it work with the fabric available.

So I've slashed the Lucy bodice across the top of the bust, from each under arm seam and am going to use the black cotton for the top and sleeves. I have a small length of leopard rose viscose jersey that we had in the Luxury SHJ boxes in May 2021... I made a skirt from it and had about 70cm left so I've used that for the rest of the bodice. Will be interested to sew cotton jersey to viscose jersey and see how it works out!

Hayley I love the sound of what you're doing. I had a top from the company Joe Browns that I had for years that had 'mismatched' areas. I quite literally wore it out! 😂

I've been so wanting to replicate that look for so long. Could the Lucy-T be the perfect pattern? I have the scraps!

Those both sound like great ideas! I've been using some denim leftovers to make a cropped boxy square neck sleeveless top (a hack of McCall's M8287). I was quite surprised how little fabric it's taking

Oh I used to love Joe Browns, I'd forgotten all about that place!! The Lucy could well be the perfect pattern!
