There are so many great sewing challenges that take place every year - I've created a blog post so you can see when they are: https://stashhubapp.com/2025-sewing-challenge-forecast/

Personally I'm most excited for Sew Yellow For Endo in March and Project Dress A Girl in September (both great causes) plus obviously Sew Fruity in June since I'll be the one hosting 😉

Let me know if you're thinking of hosting your own challenge this year! These are some fun themes I don't think I've seen before:

- Colour blocking/print mixing

- Bra/lingerie making

- Fitting (not sure how that could work but we all need it!)

I've only ever managed 'sew April blouse' which is obviously in April. I just don't get around to taking part in the others so far. Hoping to change that this year 😁 happy sewing

Last year I took part in sew frugal and loved it. I hope I can do it again. I've bought some material ready for Sew Fruity and I might have a go at Sew Yellow too

My memory is so poor, but the ones I'm looking forward to are:

Hi Yvette

Do you have any details, or dress recommendations, for Project Dress A Girl.

I'd really like to make a few dresses if I can, but unsure where to send them. Is there a UK contact?

Thanks

Here is the UK website for Dress A Girl Around The World, including pattern recommendations and requirements. dressagirlaroundtheworld.co.uk/index.html

The UK ambassador is called Jacqui. She takes a break from receiving donations over the summer, so worth popping her an email at jacqui-dressagirl@outlook.com to make sure she's collecting when you're ready to send.

They often share photos of the dresses arriving at their destination on social media, so it's worth keeping an eye out for your makes! I've seen a couple of my dresses being worn by girls in Uganda and it's so rewarding!

I’m really looking forward to anything involving cozy layers maybe something with wool or cashmere! A poncho or wrap challenge would be perfect this season.

I haven't come across a challenge with this theme yet. It's a great idea! Maybe you could host it!
