I am looking to recreate the yellow garmen worn by the character in the attached photo. I am pretty new to sewing, as I have thus far only made a simple cloak with ears on the hood for myself. Any advice/methods/instructions appreciated! I intend to wear it in the fall and spring. It will be knee length. I will need to know how to add text characters to the sleeves and how to approach making the garment. Do I just cut out identical front and back shapes and sew them together and go from there with finishing work and the like? What stitch(es) should I use, bearing in mind I do everything by hand? Thank you!
