Interesting discovery today - cutting out my French Navy Atlas top in a needlecord this morning - it’s a directional print - and the nap, when you run your hand down, is rough. When you run your hand up, it’s smooth (contrary to, I’d say, what I think was the majority consensus 😁)

I remain completely befuddled Pam. The saving grace is that the two corduroy pinafore dresses I have made are in the sad bag at the moment because I don't like them on!

I think it’s me rather than the dresses! Using chunky cord was a mistake - apart from my tummy, I’m quite small and chunky things wear me rather than the other way around! I’m going to try shortening the Noa to see if that helps - it’s currently what I’d call a frumpy length! I don’t know what to do about the Gigi but having listened to Grace, on last night’s social, where she was talking about a disappointing canyon dress and turning it into a skirt and top, I’m now wondering about doing the same with the Geri….. Thanks Pam !

I believe that this is the "proper" way for needle cord to be - rough going down, smooth going up! which seeing as this is a directional print makes sense.

However... when it's a solid colour I'd say stroke yourself however you like!!!
