Weird Sewing Tools

What weird sewing tools do you use? Ones you've bought or innovative ways of using things around the house we might not have thought of?

Great question - I can't think of any but interested to see what people use.

Ruan did share the "purple thang" on her recent vlog - it looks a little odd but apparently really useful.  I've ordered 1 so will give it a try 🤞

use it all the time -  particularly helpful at the sewing machine - holding fabric in place during tricky sewing steps

I use remnants of soap (worn thin) as a marking tool instead of tailours chalk. Not all but most soaps work.

ooh interesting! I've heard that tip before but not tried it. It does't leave a residue?

No residue and it isvery light. It's washed out easily. And due to the fact that soap is usually a light colour it really only works on slightly darker fabric.
