So apparently my machine has a slant shank (old Singer), so it's made it harder and more expensive when looking for an invisible zipper foot. Do I need one to do an invisble zip or can I do it with a normal zipper foot?

Hi Debbie, I don't see why it couldn't be done with a regular zipper foot. It might not be quite as precise but I think it could work. I had a quick google and there are a few tutorials for this so it's definitely possible. I would absolutely recommend hand basting the zip first though
