Me Made May

Are you taking part in Me Made May this year? I would love for ThreadySetGo to be a part of it.

Share your pledge for the month here.

If you want to document how you get on throughout May you can either share individual makes here, or start a Project Diary and add your photos along with any comments or thoughts about the days outfit or how you're getting on.

Make sure to share the pattern name and company as well as where you got your fabric from in order to give our sewing business friends the love they deserve!

Remember it is not a photo challenge or a competition. The forum is here if you would like a space to create a document of your makes throughout May (or any other time really!)

Above all it is meant to be a fun way to think about the makes you have and show them some love!

I Hayley, pledge to wear at least one me made item every day in May, pushing myself out of my comfort zone by wearing some of those garments that are a little "extra" when I wouldn't normally. By that I mean not just wearing jeans or leggings and a sweatshirt on the school run! I will document each day in a Project Diary.

I, Donnie, pledge to wear a me-made item everyday throughout May 2026 and to take care of the little niggles I have with them that have stopped me wearing them in the last year, relegating them to the 'alteration' pile instead. I will let go of the need for perfection and be kinder to myself and my me-mades. I will keep a little diary on here to help me remember I've made progress!

Ooh I was just thinking if there was a MMM post in the forum! I'm thinking about finally joining in this year, although I don't have normal everyday lounging clothes which is what I spend 99% of my time in... I guess it's something I should address, but I don't enjoy making them so isn't a priority šŸ¤· however if May is hot, or even warm I have looooads of me made holiday/warm weather clothing! šŸ¤£

I'll ss one of the slides so everyone can see a example of it. I think this would be so fun šŸ¤£ I think I might kinda so this so I can join in but maybe weekly. I don't know I really need to think about it. šŸ¤£

Haha this is great!! Yes I have seen this, saw a couple of people doing it last year! I might dip in and out of this one if I have something that works - can definitely do the misplaced bravery of a person wearing white whilst cooking tomato sauce!!

I usually don't participate in me made may, I am bad at taking pic and I wear me mades almost all the time.

Although I may try to push myself for my Style Without Boxes series :)

You don't have to take photos, if you want to document it you could just write what pattern/s you've worn each day and any comments you want to make

I started this series on my channel last year - first 3 videos were about the initial thought about style or lack of it, experiment i did and what i am planning next, following videos are updates where i am with my style journey, what i made and how I styled already existing makes. I wish I had more updated videos, but life gets in the way.

I've been sewing for so long that most of my day to day wardrobe is me made anyway. The bought clothes I do have are quite matured now and are mostly jackets but I do have some t shirts that I love the colour of.

I have no pledge that I can think to do.

Perhaps finding new combinations of garments? Or searching out the ones you don't wear very often to work out if there's a reason why and any alterations you could make? Or just enjoy the month of May as is!!
