Thoughts On Cinnamon Daisy Poppy Muslin?

I'm pretty tired at this point so can't really trust my own judgement...

This is my fourth muslin of cinnamon Daisy Poppy.

This one is size M cups ABC with the following adjustments:

  • top upper cup reduced

  • depth added to the under bust cup

  • Straps shortened by 1/2in

  • Waistline raised (needs more raising especially at the back

  • Swayback adjustment

Theoretically, should the waist panel be more fitted?

I'm not sure it would be very comfortable more fitted tbh.

At this point, I'm debating whether or not to continue with this pattern. Maybe it's the tiredness speaking or the fact that after many muslins/sewing there isn't anything "pretty" as a result so it can feel a bit disheartening!

Before and after photos attached. (The after version has an A on the centre front)

I think you have done a fantastic job! Is the bottom of the under bust cup - the seamline where it meets the waist panel sitting against your body? I can't quite tell but it looks like it might still be sitting a bit high and resting more on the cup. I had this problem too and still need to add more depth there.

I agree that I need more depth on the lower cup.

Off to make another muslin.

I must admit this is proving to be more work than I expected but I guess that's the nature of zero ease pieces

Fifth muslin. Much better!

L/EFG with 3/4in added to lower cup depth.

I think I need to add about 1/2in more.

Top cup adjusted (on one side only at this point) to take out excess.

Waist shortened significantly (can't remember off hand by how much)

Such a big difference! The fit looks so much better from the bust to the waist panel. Yay! Great sewing and perseverance!
