I'm going to a wedding in Australia in December and would love to make a dress from a crepe backed satin o got from the new craft house - in what they are calling Deep Orchid. A dark red/pink. I have 4 metres.
I want to make as long as possible, sleeves at least to elbow. Some shaping, not a smock.
However I am 5'10" (178cm) in height and about a size 18 with a large bust.
all ideas welcome as I have some time for research and planning before panic sets in!

It's drapy but quite thick - it's 50/50 viscose/acetate. Sturdy yet swishy! The magnolia is one I have had my eye on - IF I can get it out of 4m. Cant load the Upton at the mo as I'm away with v poor WiFi!. However magnolia is femininely the area I think I need to go!
