Merchant And Mills Florence

This is the Merchant and Mills Florence Top in a lovely linen from Rainbow Fabrics that I have had in my stash for way too long. It’s an easy, quick make, although beginners should be mindful of the bias binding around the neckline. For some odd reason, I found the sleeve head too large (I had absolutely cut the correct size for the body). I added two pleats at each shoulder and it works fine and actually looks quite pretty. It is strange though because there are lots of versions of this this on Instagram and no one has mentioned this issue 🤷‍♀️ Otherwise I made no modifications and cut it to my measurements. I may go down a size if (probably when) I make it again.

This looks lovely Annie, the colour is gorgeous!

Were the sleeves not meant to be gathered in to fit the armscye?

Thanks Hayley. No they weren’t. That’s the weird thing 🤷‍♀️
