Some of my Summer makes. I'll add to this thread as I take more photos (I hate taking photos of myself - apologies for the look of misery on my face. It has become my natural expression as I have gotten older!).

First back and front of the Maison Fauve Ronsard jeans. This is my second pair of Ronsards and I lowered the back and front by 1cm on this pair to make the trouser body shorter. These are wide leg jeans but I think there's still something funny going on with the fit through the back. I think the front works well and it feels comfortable, but I have a 'flap of fabric on the outside back of the leg that doesn't drape as I think it should. I think I possibly need to scoop out the back crotch curve a little more and lengthen the back crotch seam... I'll try that if I make another pair. These are made up in a lightweight striped denim from Good Fabrics and they'll work well into the Autumn I think. I am pleased with them.

The gold coloured jacket is the Harriet from Style Arc. This went together beautifully. It was a real pleasure sewing with linen after a run of viscose makes. The Harriet is a lined jacket but I wanted a short linen summer jacket, so I left it unlined by finishing all of the seam allowances with hong kong style binding that I made from a piece of leftover Atelier Jupe lawn (from the Rosie blouse make). It's a shame I wasn't wearing one of my better bras for the photos. I think the jacket fits slightly better than it looks when everything is in the right place!!! I will make this jacket again for the Autumn, possibly in a cord or baby cord or even a denim, but I will size up if I do that so I have room for bulkier garments underneath. I'd also line that type of make for ease of getting it on and off with other sleeves involved! Gold linen from Lamazi.

The navy blue co-ord set is a Helen's Closet pair - the Winslow Culottes and another Ashton top. I've made a lot of Ashton tops this summer and recut the pattern this time to incorporate some fit improvements around the arm holes. Whilst I think they have achieved what I wanted I also now need to lower the bust dart and perhaps consider making a FBA as I have tightened up the fit. I'll have another tweak when I make it again. I initially made the culottes full length to wear with heeled shoes but I felt swamped by that amount of fabric so I have shortened them. The fabric is a very, very lightweight chambray, so I used some of the unwanted length to create a hem facing for each leg to weigh the legs down a little. They are very comfortable to wear. I was pleased the rear invisible zip went in as well as it did! I think this style and fabric would have been great during the heatwaves as they are very 'wafty'! I probably won't make them again in a hurry but that is more about me and my own preferences. They were a very quick, straightforward and pleasing make. Navy blue/Indigo lightweight chambray from Guthrie & Ghani.
