Too Many Ideas?!

I’m hoping to make myself a dress to go to a wedding in October. I’ve got the fabric which is a cotton, and I was thinking of making either 1) an Emily dress (s.o sew ) 2) Hinterland dress (sew liberated) or 3) Kew dress (Nina Lee)

But now, I’m also thinking about making other patterns. I love the look of Cinnamon Daisy’s Poppy and Willow patterns.

Has anyone had experience of making any of these patterns? I’m going to have to line the bodice plus the skirt from waist to knee. Any tips, suggestions and alternative patterns welcome!

I can’t help with those, but have you considered the Lulee Dress by Papercut Patterns? It’s on my ‘to sew’ list and it gets great reviews. Some lovely versions on instagram.

All gorgeous patterns Mel - I've made the Emily and the Poppy.

The Emily is a little easier to fit - the Poppy definitely takes a toile or two.

On one of my Emily's I swapped the facing for a lining just by cutting the bodice pieces twice and could very easily add a lining to the skirt too.
