Nomi Dress By Sew Over It (Soi) And Jersey Autumn Dresses

I'm not good at this forum business and this is one of my few posts... not sure if I'm in the right place! Do direct me if I am posting in the wrong chat!

Just wondering if anyone has made this dress? It's for jersey fabrics and apparently it works well for a viscose jersey. Obviously I didn't have that in my stash but I did have a cotton jersey.

My questions are multiple!

I made it following the measurements and the finished garment measurements and it's huge!

I failed to shorten the bodice = My fault (I'm under 5ft with a petite frame underneath the coverage!)

So I have taken it in and shortened accordingly.

The waist still doesn't sit on my waist. It's kind of in-between in the "thickening trunk" area [thanks menopause] and I don't know if this pattern works for a rounder shape?

If anyone has words of advice or a different pattern to try - I don't want or need anymore Billie (TATB) or SouthBank (Nina Lee) sweater dresses but I love jersey and would love to add something new to my collection that has worked for you if you have big boobs, a tummy and rather than a pattern for those of us who aren't tall and not carrying extra pounds as I am!

I really like the Tammy Handmade Romy Dress and Top. The dress is a midaxi length, but could easily be shortened. I like this one a lot because of the bell sleeves. My other favourite knit dress is The Patterns Room Lora Dress and Top. Again, it’s long, but we can pick our length. This is an especially well drafted pattern, but the drafting of the Romy is good too. You can see some of my in the Patterns section of the forum.
