I've been a quilter for over a decade and am now wanting to embark on apparel! My plan is to start really easy for some first 'wins' to keep me going!
My first project will be the Tilly and the Buttons Stevie top with a cotton lawn.

That's a fantastic first pattern - funnily enough I have a YouTube video going live today with complete beginner pattern suggestions!
Best of luck with your plans, looking forward to seeing how you get on
Go for it!
As a quilter, you're probably very good at accuracy (something that has eluded me whenever I tried quilting!) so you're off to a good start!
Thank you for cheering me on! Knowing how to sew a quarter inch seam came in real handy in doing a Hong-Kong seam finish!!
Update:
I picked a size on the pattern sewed a toile out of an old sheet. The size worked well! so then I cut out the fabric. I started sewing and took it slow. I have the shoulder seams done, the ties and yoke attached. This weekend I'll work on the side seams. I'm using a cotton lawn, which I just love the feel of! Here's one picture of the work in progress!
Got the side seams done! The hem and sleeve cuffs are all that left!
Fantastic well done!! That fabric is lovely, and love your beaky friend keeping you company there!
