Now that the seasons have begun to change and we’re now getting some rain I had a sudden urge to make a trench coat. I made the Lagan coat last year and lived the process so when I saw that Itch to Stitch had a trench coat pattern, it went straight into my basket.
I’ve bought some Apple green gabardine from Higgs & Higgs and a John Loudon viscose with a leaf print for the lining.
As I have already made an Itch to Stitch coat, I haven’t made a toile. I did shorten the Lagan coat but am keeping the trench as per the pattern as I don’t mind the extra length for this one.
I’ve cut out all of the pieces and the buttons and buckles I ordered arrived today, so here we go…
