Getting the perfect fit is one of the biggest dressmaking challenges, and also one of the most rewarding parts of sewing your own clothes.

Whether you’ve mastered the Full Bust Adjustment (FBA), found a great method for grading between sizes, or have a tried-and-true way to tweak darts or necklines - we want to hear it!

Share your go-to fit adjustments, how you learned them, and any before/after photos if you’re happy to post them.

Two of my go-two adjustements for me are narrow shoulder adjustment and shallow chest adjustment.

I rarely need to do an FBA even though I am quite busty as the difference between my full and high bust is around 2" but I often get gaping at the neckline so find a shallow chest adjustemnt to work better for me.

I also have quite narrow shoulders compared to the rest of my body which is plus size so trying to get that armhole seam in the right place is a common adjustement for me.
