Floral Franken dress

A few years ago I made a dress for my Uncles funeral, using the TATB Frankie top as the top half, making a three tired gathered skirt and sewing these together to make a dress. I didn't really expect to like it as much as I do and wear it a lot. Changed things upa little on this next version by using the TATB Tabitha tee as the basic top, adding a three tiered gathered skirt and this time adding an elastic waist channel. Confessions: I started out with the intention of following the hack in Tilly's book about turning the Tabitha tee into a skirt, but got over keen and sewed this up initially completely forgetting about the channel 😂 I found the waist too low for my liking and THEN remembered I was supposed to put a channel in for some elastic! Cut the top from the skirt portion and did a hefty bit of making stuff up as I went along to create a channel for some elastic. It's by not means perfect but does now sit how I want it do and I will make another one.
