Sewing cover

I completed the remake. I added a lining as well. It looks soooo good. Im glad that this was my first project and Im glad I remade it.

So far, I've already unpicked the projects. I've made the lining and the outer pieces. I've put them together but it's too long. Need to determine where to trim to the length I want. I think I'll add a basting stitch as I'll be cutting through fabric and the stitches. Or should I just decide on the length, sew it til there and see the length on the cover before cutting

Have decided to redo this. Ways I want to improve. It needs more structure as it was flopping over alot. Solution is to add a lining of sturdier fabric. I didn't know the difference between the top thread and bobbin thread so you can see both. The side pockets were not good. Also, I was not stitching straight. I was happy with the colour of the green and floral pattern. Still proud of my self for making this.
