Trace Pattern
Cut pattern & interfacing pieces
Stay-stitch front edges between notches
Pin Side Fronts to the Front, right sides together, matching notches and dots. Stitch from upper edge to dot.
Stay-stitch back edge of two Back sections between armhole edge and waist edge.
Pin Side Backs to back, right sides together, matching notches and dots
Sew edges of Front and Back sides from armhole to dot.
Pin front to each back section at shoulder and sides. Stitch side seams
Baste interfacing to wrong side of each back facing, front facing, lower front facing, lower side facing and lower side back facing.
Overlock lower edge of front facing and upper edge of lower front facing and lower side back facing.
Stitch together lower front facing to each lower side front facing, matching dots, right sides together. Stitch from upper edge to dot.
Stitch lower side front facing to lower side back facing at sides, right sides together, matching dots. Stitch from upper edge to dot.
Pin lower side back facing to inner edge of back facing, right sides together, matching dots. Stitch from upper edge to dot.
Overlock inner edge of back facing above lower side back facing, disregarding notches.
Stitch each back facing to front facing at shoulders. Cut interfacing close to stitching.
Pin facing to back, neck and lower edges, Right sides together, matching notches, centres, dots and seams.
Stitch, ending stitches at dots
Cut corners diagonally. GRADE seam allowance by cutting to graduated widths and interfacing close to stitching. Clip curves
Press seam allowance towards facing. Understitch neck and back edges by stitching through facing and seam allowances close seam, starting and ending 1” (2.5cm) from corners.
Turn facing to inside. Press. Baste armhole edges together. Hand-sew facing in place. Catch-stitch facing to seam.
Ease cap of sleeve by basting 5/8” and 1/2” from raw edge between notches. Pull the bottom threads of each stitching to bring cap to same size of armhole.
Stitch sleeve side seams together.
Finish lower edge of sleeves, turn up lower edge of hemline and sew.
Pin sleeves to armholes, right sides together, matching symbols and centre small dots to shoulder seam. Baste, adjusting ease evenly, Stitch. Stitch again 1cm from raw edges below notches. Cut seam allowances close to second stitching.
Turn seam allowance toward sleeve.
Overlock sleeve hem, turn up 1cm , press, turn up another 1cm and topstitch.
