Mildly adapted casual men's coat.

About this make
Even for paralyzed people who have a fair amount of dexterity remaining, any garment with a full-length zipper down the front is going to cause problems. As anyone riding in cars or sleighs in winter can attest, any coat that ends around the waist that is left fully zippered does some interesting things. Full-length coats have less of a concern with this than standard styles, but folks in wheelchairs don't find full-length coats very friendly to wear (unless they have a LOT of support or fancy equipment). The fix is to either buy things already featuring button closures so that the bottom can be left undone (for those with great dexterity), or to remove the zipper and add on an extra flap to form a hook and loop closure (for those without great dexterity). Since I'd like to be both warm and stylish in this upcoming winter, I have this project lined up for work soon.
