    All finished! The lining has seam binding before turning and machine stitching. The bodice lining is handstitched to the waist and skirt. The skirt was also finished with seam binding but then handstitched. So much handstitching but basting first did speed it up.

    Got my skirt attached to the bodice. I don't like the dress lining hanging from the shoulders. So I baste the skirt lining and main fabric together, leaving a few inches by the back center free. Then I sew it the whole thing to the bodice but break the stitches where the lining is basted. Once the zipper is in I'll stitch the lining down. Next I insert the zipper.

    My skirt lining is basted to the outer fabric. I'm going to let them hang while I finish up the bodice.

    While cutting I decided to add 1" to the hem since I had plenty of fabric.
