Tailor's Tacks
Tailor's tacks are loose, hand-sewn stitches used to transfer pattern markings onto fabric by stitching through both layers and then cutting the thread between them to leave visible markers. They provide sturdy, precise, temporary markings on both layers of fabric without damaging delicate materials or disappearing over time like chalk or pens can.
