I bought this Lady McElroy Oriental Koi Morracain viscose crepe last year. I've been considering what to make with it. The pattern is large and I need a make that keeps it intact. I've been debating between a short-sleeve top with grown-on sleeves or a bed jacket. I'm not a dress or skirt girl, so that's not my ideal. I'd love some suggestions!!

This is beautiful. For fabric like this, I agree that a tunic style top or kimono style jacket would showcase it.
Given the design, I'd head for a kimono style jacket with contrasting bands.

Oh this is such a gorgeous fabric! Definitely agree a simple yet elegant top with grown on sleeves would look gorgeous as would a floaty kimono-style

Could you give some examples of styles you like in tops and how much of the fabric you have?

My style is pretty basic- button down tops, popovers with v-neck, wrap tops with knit fabric.
I’ve considered using the seamwork hansie pattern with this fabric as it has no style lines beyond bust darts or some other popover style top. The idea of a kimono style jacket is intriguing, I haven’t found a pattern for that yet. I have 2 m of the fabric.

I really like the Moss jacket from Helen's closet - you can play around with lengths for the jacket and sleeves. The sleeves are a simple straight seam.
